Power Rankings - Week 3

That's how you end a losing streak. Both the Santa Barbara Fokkers and the Wea ver won their first games of the season. The Fokkers passed the century mark in their domination of the the Hill Billies while the Wea ver handled the Cupcakes. Meanwhile, the Milk and River each saw their two-game winning streaks snapped as they were each handed their first L of the year. The Cheese are on top. The Hill Billies are not. -Josh  Rozelle 1. And just like that, only three undefeateds remain. The Dairy Duo rise to the top while the River flow at #3. The Cupcakes did not fall far. The Big Boss got up out of the cellar while the Fokkers are flying low with their second straight defeat. For now, the league looks pretty equal. ESPN's projections put most teams in the 70s or 80s. Week 3: Can I Kick It? Yes... You Can't. by Rick Tagliabue Well, it all comes down to this… Or, at least, as far as the most purple-tongued talking heads are concerned in the case of the NFL, it’s not concussions and CTE that are going to sink America’s favorite sport, but kickers. You heard it right. Despite all the hubbub of the waning popularity of football in ‘apple pie’ country, according to a 2018 Gallup Poll, NFL football ranked as the most popular American sport to watch by being selected by 37% of those polled. While that percentage is down,  perhaps  due to CTE or  proclaimed  anti-American protests, from 43% in 2006 and 2007, when compared with basketball (11%) and baseball (9%), I wouldn’t exactly say that NFL suits are shakin’ in their boots. At least, that is, until last week and, especially thanks to the slippery slippers of Cleveland’s Zane Gonzalez and Minnesota’s Daniel Carlson.
